* Submit your article in Microsoft Word or Google Docs （no PDFs）.
* Use single-spacing and embed hyperlinks directly within the text (no footnotes or endnotes).
What topics are suitable for submission?
We accept analyses and commentary on global events, international relations, geopolitical and strategic topics, all of which can be found in the section under ‘Topics’.
Is there a word count limit for submissions?
Yes, submissions should generally be between 800 and 1,200 words to ensure depth and clarity, though exceptions may be considered. Backgrounder submissions typically range from 2,000 to 3,000 words.
How long does it take to review submissions?
Most submissions are reviewed within 5 to 10 business days, depending on volume.
Tips: While all articles are proofread before publication, we highly encourage writers to self-edit beforehand. A free tool like Grammarly can be incredibly helpful, regardless of your writing experience.
